NEW Denis Wick SM4UH ‘Ultra Heros’ Euphonium mouthpiece in silver plate.

Cup diameter: 26.00mm
Rim width: 6.33mm
Throat: 7.20mm
Shank: Large

A new model recently added to the range which is a hybrid version of the Ultra and SM shapes with an updated rim contour and modified backbore for projection. Sizes SM3UH and SM5UH to follow, also available in gold plate to special order.

Hēros, being the Greek word for leader seems to inherit this role for euphonium and baritone mouthpieces. This is the third main mouthpiece creation I have made since 1995 and I’m extraordinarily proud of it. It is wonderfully responsive, has a bigger sound in the high range, has a remarkably easy tone production and extraordinary stability throughout the whole of the euphonium’s range. You will also notice a marked difference in the control of soft playing. It can sing and whisper better than any previous euphonium or baritone mouthpiece.   • They have been play tested to ensure everything is in working order and that they blow with a good sound.
  • Each instrument comes with a hard case or gig bag.
  • A specific mouthpiece is not included however I do have a stock of used ones so one can be sent if required.

    Having not played for nearly 30 years I had the desire to play the cornet again. I am based in Qatar where there are very limited options to purchase any quality instruments. I wanted a Besson Sovereign and Duchy Brass had an ex demo available at a very reasonable price, offering a good saving on a brand new one. I did some reviews and Duchy Brass’s proven track record was reassuring, having supplied instruments to customers previously in  the USA and the Far East. Jenny’s assistance and service was excellent, with the parcel being delivered to me in Qatar in 4 days. Arrived all packaged securely and marked as fragile, thus ensuring the safe delivery.
