Started in July 2011 and based in the South West of England, near Redruth, Cornwall at Duchy Brass I buy and sell brass musical instruments and endeavour to offer my customers the highest quality at affordable prices.

I have been involved with retailing brass musical instruments on ebay for over fifteen years (please look up username ‘jennyt125’ for over 1000 positive feedback ratings) and decided to sell from a website due to increasing ebay and paypal costs. Originally started as Cash4Brass I decided to change the name in October 2014 to Duchy Brass as I feel it better reflects the quality and Cornish roots of the business as well as avoiding confusion with other retailers using a similar “Cash4” name.

I specialise in purchasing brass musical instruments from other retailers, private individuals or brass bands / wind bands who are either wishing to sell or trade in.     Having not played for nearly 30 years I had the desire to play the cornet again. I am based in Qatar where there are very limited options to purchase any quality instruments. I wanted a Besson Sovereign and Duchy Brass had an ex demo available at a very reasonable price, offering a good saving on a brand new one. I did some reviews and Duchy Brass’s proven track record was reassuring, having supplied instruments to customers previously in  the USA and the Far East. Jenny’s assistance and service was excellent, with the parcel being delivered to me in Qatar in 4 days. Arrived all packaged securely and marked as fragile, thus ensuring the safe delivery. Got it straight out the case and played like I had hoped. Looks and feels like brand new. One very happy customer. Jenny’s willingness to discuss with me out of her normal business hours made the whole thing go smoothly. I would recommend Duchy Brass to anyone and in particular any overseas customers.
