Description
The latest Besson Prestige euphonium model introduces a free-floating leadpipe for greater resonance. Steven Mead, international soloist, says: ‘Its rich sound, positive and powerful response makes it for me the best euphonium that I have ever played.’
It also combines a redesigned valve group, a new lead pipe and an adjustable main tuning slide trigger, which allow tuning to be totally controllable and give the player the means to play with perfect intonation in any situation.
Powerful pedal tones and clear, centred high notes characterize the extremes of the instrument’s capabilities, but the range of expression in the mid-register is perhaps its most attractive feature.
Finished in a gold tinted lacquer with gold plate trimmings the 2052-2 model features a main tuning slide trigger, 12″ hand made yellow brass bell, free floating mouthpipe and 0.590″ bore. Supplied in a deluxe Besson hard case with optional heavyweight top/bottom caps, removable lyre box, removable water catcher, cleaning cloth and valve oil.
Also available in bright silver/gold plated finish or clear lacquer finish to order and in various options such as the 2051 with 11″ bell. We have a demo instrument available in store to play test.
